Getting ready for spring...

Spring is just around the corner, so while we had some sunny days we started to prepare our yard for a garden.  We rented a rototiller and tilled up a decent size of our back yard.  We even got a wire fence put up around it with a gate.  But I haven't taken completed pictures of it yet.  So you just get to see the work in progress picture.  We also bought an apple tree and planted it in the front yard.  It's a semi dwarf apple tree with 3 different types of apples on it.  So it's self polinating.  It has jonagold apples, liberty apples, and yellow delicious apples.  We can't wait to see how well it will do.  One other thing we have done so far is plant strawberries in our flower bed where we had our garden last year.  We also tore out the green bushes we had in front of our porch and put in some rosebushes.  Hopefully that will give us a little color.

We are looking forward to all the food we can plant in our garden. Hopefully this year will be as good as last year, just with a bigger garden.
